Race Reviews
For runners who like to run destination races and are looking for specific characteristics in those races, check out BibRave. The main purpose of BibRave is to find and review races.
Runners review races on the site by looking up the race via search function, then rating the race (1-5 stars) on a few standard race characteristics, with the ability to add narrative commentary on the race. The commentary is very helpful to future potential race runners to understand the pros and cons of the race.
The standard categories for the 1-5 star ratings are:
- Overall race quality
- T-shirts / swag
- Aid stations
- Course scenery
- Expo quality
- Course elevation difficulty
- Parking / access
- Race management
Visitors to the site can also follow specific race raters, look for persons on the site who live close to them, and contribute to or read the BibRave Blog
BibRave also publishes The BibRave 100 top races each year, based on ratings that runners leave on BibRave. There are Top 20 lists overall for marathons, half marathons, and shorter distances. There are also Top 20 lists for other race characteristics such as best swag, best weekend experience, etc.
BibRave is a great place to review and find races based on past ratings, and is especially helpful in learning more about a race you have in mind from people who have run the race before.
Happy Running!
