Shoe mileage will vary based on individual’s size and frequency of shoe usage, and the surface area that runners run upon.

I track my mileage that I run on each pair of shoes, and I aim for replacing a pair of shoes after 400-450 miles, but have replaced them after 300 miles depending on conditions.

I also sometimes alternate between different brands and models of shoes, if running many miles per week.  This just allows for different impact points on your feet and joints, which I believe reduces foot stress and risk of injury.
