For persons with a desire to run competitively, against other racers or pushing for a new personal record (PR), there is a quest to determine how to increase speed within races.
So many strategies, theories and training programs have been written about how to become faster as a runner. Regardless of the method and strategy one pursues, common characteristics in becoming faster include:
- Positive attitude and visualization when training, recovering, and racing
- Discipline and consistency in training
- Repetition of best practices while training
